Marko Stamatovic
About:
Marko Stamatović was born on February 13, 1977, in Kragujevac, Serbia. He graduated from the Faculty of Philology and Arts, Department of Graphic Design, in 2008. Since the same year, he has been a member of ULUPUDS (The National Association of Applied Arts and Designers of Serbia), within the departments of artistic photography and design.
To date, he has held 20 solo exhibitions and participated in over a hundred salons and group exhibitions both in Serbia and abroad. His works have been published in numerous magazines and publications, including Politika, REFOTO, Novi Magazin, Svetlost, CityWalker, Digital, Digital Camera, Mobil, Danas, Blic, National Geographic Serbia, and Smithsonian Magazine.
Currently, he works as an art professor in Kragujevac, while also sharing his expertise in graphic design with print media as the art director of the photo & design studios STAMATOVIĆ and Omnipix Workshop Lab. In addition, he contributes as a photographer for National Geographic Serbia magazine.
He is the president and founder of the photo club APOLO in Kragujevac, the founder of Museum 20 Cola, and the creator of FOTORAMA, the first festival of artistic photography in Serbia. In a happy marriage with his beloved Mirjana, he considers his two sons, little Ognjen and little Ilija, his greatest works of art.
